Marmot Sport and Joint Ointment promotes blood circulation after physical exertion and sports and has a relaxing effect on sore muscles and lumbago. It is also beneficial for joints and the whole musculoskeletal system.
Our Murmelin Sport and Joint Ointment was developed around 40 years ago in the Arlberg pharmacy in St. Anton, Austria. Since then it has been sold mainly in pharmacies, which speaks for its excellent effectiveness.

Ingredients such as valuable marmot oil, pure arnica extract, cooling menthol and wonderfully smelling mountain pine oil make this sports and joint ointment the natural solution for muscle tension, which also has a beneficial effect on the entire musculoskeletal system.
Marmot fat has been used for centuries to treat sore muscles, tension, lumbago, overexertion of the musculoskeletal system and to maintain healthy joints, tendons and muscles.
Mountain pine oil and arnica promote blood circulation and relax muscles and joints. Menthol derived from mint also has a relaxing effect on muscles.

Murmelin Sport and Joint Ointment can be applied directly to the affected area two to three times a day. The ointment is non-greasy, is absorbed quickly and leaves nothing behind on the skin. It can also be used as a massage oil.

How is Murmelin Sport and Joint Ointment made?
One of the ingredients used is pure marmot oil, which is rich in various fatty acids, vitamin E and natural corticosteroids. Marmot oil is obtained from the belly fat of marmots as part of a painstaking process.
Using marmot oil makes good use of hunted animals, which are cleared for shooting annually in late summer to contain overpopulation of the species. Marmots are not hunted to produce our ointment.
